Congratulations to Starz ’20 attacker, Anna Kelly, on her commitment to the admissions process at NCAA D3 Bowdoin College. Anna plays high school lacrosse for Lakeside School where she earned All-State and All-Conference recognition multiple times and this past season (2019) was named an All-American. Anna has made waves as a three-time member of the U19 Team Washington, competing at nationals. She has also been recognized as an All-Star and Offensive MVP by NXT and her high school program.

“I have had the best experience playing Starz. I’ve played every season since 6th grade and I never thought about stopping,” said Anna. “Not only have I made lifelong friendships, but I have also been exposed to the highest level of lacrosse and I feel prepared for college play. The coaches have given me so many amazing opportunities and have always helped me elevate my game. Special thanks to Lyndsey, Ruth, and Stevie for everything. I can’t wait for the next four years!”

“Anna has been the keystone of our 2020 attacking unit for as long as I can remember,” commented Girls Director and fellow Polar Bear, Lyndsey Gillis.  “She’s been a contributor all over the field through her impeccable ability to see and distribute the ball to teammates, her knack for 50/50s in and around the center circle and her determination to put the ball in the back of the net. Her fundamental skill and athleticism have always been impressive to me, in addition to her love for her teammates. I’ve really enjoyed watching Anna grow as a person and a player over the many years I’ve had the privilege of coaching her. I’m going to miss her but I’m so excited about where she is headed. Go UBears!”
