CADEN WYNNE COMMITS TO COLORADO MESA UNIVERSITY
Congratulations to Starz ’21 defender, Caden Wynne, on his recent commitment to NCAA D2 Colorado Mesa University. In his sophomore season at Snohomish HS, he was selected to the WESCO 1st team and voted team defensive MVP. This upcoming season he will be one of the team captains. Playing with Seattle Starz, he was a 2019 NXT Summer Showcase All-Star and a 2018 Madlax East Coast Fall Showcase All-Star.
“I am excited to announce that I have committed to Colorado Mesa University where I am fortunate enough to further my education and play lacrosse at the NCAA D2 level,” stated Wynne. “Since my freshman year of high school, I knew that I wanted to play at the college level and I knew that the Seattle Starz program would give me the skill set to get there. I want to thank coaches Jack Pruitt, Larry Maurer, Scott Kelly, Matt Shannon, Matt O’Neill and Connor Sofield for teaching me everything I know today. I also want to give a special thank you to our team coordinator, Alli, who embodies exactly what a team coordinator should be! And lastly this couldn’t come together without the support of my close friends and family. To my parents and my brother, thank you so much for giving me this opportunity and encouraging me to reach all my goals. Thank you dad for the time you have dedicated to coaching me in all of my different sports! Thank you again Seattle Starz and GO MAVS!”
“A job well done and a big congratulations to Caden on his commitment to CMU! Caden has been a steady force on our 2021 defense for the past several seasons due to his physicality, and elevated his game even further by investing time into improving his footwork,” said Pruitt. “That progression has made him a model player and teammate who is fun to coach and even more fun to watch as he dominates matchups all over the field. CMU was Caden’s dream school, and Seattle Starz is very fortunate to have played a small part in helping Caden get there. We look forward to watching Caden wreak havoc in the college ranks as he has done for years with Seattle Starz and Snohomish. Go Mavericks!”
