UC SANTA CRUZ TRAINING CAMP
UC SANTA CRUZ TRAINING CAMP
June 23rd - June 26th, 2020
Seattle Starz Youth & Middle School Boys
(All players 5th-8th grade)

The camp is located on the campus of UC Santa Cruz. It is held in conjunction with ADVNC Lacrosse and their teams from San Francisco, Sacramento, East Bay, Tahoe and North Bay will be attending as well. Attendance at the training camp is included in your season registration fee and we don't anticipate any increase to fees from the 2019 Summer season. There will be 3 lacrosse sessions each day:
- Session 1 (morning) Skill Development by position
- Session 2 (afternoon) Team practices
- Session 3 (evening) Tournament Games
Pro and College players, along with ADVNC and Seattle coaches, will work with all the players. In the evening, there will be games between the programs. Plenty of fun outdoor activities will be mixed in as well - the average daily temperature in Santa Cruz is in the mid 70's during the month of June.

To optimize travel cost, we are combining the trip with the Lake Tahoe Summit tournament. Parents and players will travel to that tournament held the weekend of June 20-21. At the conclusion of the tournament, on Monday, June 22 we will have charter buses available to drive the players and their gear to the UC Santa Cruz campus. Parents will have the option to either drive their son independently, or have him travel on the team buses. Parents can choose to stay in the Santa Cruz area during the camp, or return to Seattle. Players will stay in the campus dorms under the supervision and guidance of Seattle Starz coaches. All meals are included.
At the conclusion of the tournament on June 26, charter buses will again be available to drive players to the San Jose airport. We will also arrange a team flight (much the way our high school teams travel) to fly players back to Seattle. Parents will pick their sons up at SeaTac airport.
