CALLIE BALLAINE COMMITS TO ST. LAWRENCE

Congratulations to Starz ’20 attacker, Callie Bellaine, on her commitment to NCAA D3 St. Lawrence University. Callie plays high school lacrosse for Holy Names Academy where she earned captain as a junior and is an AP Scholar. Starz is thrilled to see Callie take her attack game to New York and the competitive Liberty League as she has been a long-time player for the Seattle Starz 2020 Elites.

“Callie has been a steady force amongst the 2020 attack unit for as long as I can remember,” states Girls Director, Lyndsey Gillis.  “She is one of those players that shows up to every practice ready to push herself and her teammates. Callie has strong field IQ along with a tremendous ability to be in the right place at the right time. I enjoy watching her ‘thread the needle’ and find the back of the net. We’ve seen tremendous growth in her game play and confidence in the last couple of seasons. I could not be more thrilled about where she is headed. I will miss Callie’s constant happiness and positive attitude as it has been so paramount to the overall personality of this team. I know she will bring all of this and more to Coach Corkery’s crew.”

“I am so thankful for my time with the Starz program. The top-level coaching and competition have helped me grow as a player and a person, and really prepared me to play at the college level,” says Bellaine.  “Huge thanks to my coaches Lyndsey, Stevie and Ruth for encouraging me through this process; I could not have done it without you— you shaped me into a better lacrosse player! I’ve made lasting friendships, and always look forward to Starz practices. My coaches and teammates at Holy Names Academy helped me build determination and fun on and off the field. And lastly thanks to my family for their constant support and love of the game. I can’t wait to continue on and play at the college level. Go Saints, and always go Starz!”
