DAWSON FRIERS COMMITS TO HOLY CROSS
COMMITS TO NCAA D1 COLLEGE OF THE HOLY CROSS
Congratulations to Starz ’20 goalie, Dawson Friers, on his recent commitment to play for NCAA D1 Holy Cross. The Crusaders play in one of the most competitive conferences at the D1 level, the Patriot League, and have made appearances in the conference playoffs two out of the past three seasons.
“I am very excited to announce that I have committed to play Division 1 lacrosse at Holy Cross,” said Friers. “I would like to thank my family, teammates, and coaches for supporting and helping me through this difficult, yet once in a life time process. Seattle Starz has helped form me into the lacrosse player I am today and has taught me lessons on and off the field that I will hold on to for the rest of my life. I would especially like to thank coaches Lewis, Rich, Scott and Steve for pushing me to become the best version I can be of myself and encouraging me throughout this whole journey.”
“Dawson’s strong showing at east coast recruiting tournaments this past Summer and Fall caught the attention of many NCAA D1 programs,” stated Rich Schwartz. “I could not be more thrilled that his hard work, field awareness and athletic ability will be showcased in the super competitive Patriot League. Seattle Starz goalies have consistently succeeded at the college level and Coach Burke has a fantastic lacrosse player, athlete and student in Dawson. Congrats on heading to an excellent academic and lacrosse program!”
