MEGAN FLANDREAU COMMITS TO ENDICOTT

COMMITS TO NCAA D3 ENDICOTT COLLEGE

Congratulations to Starz ’20 defender, Megan “Flan” Flandreau for committing to Endicott College in Beverly, MA, one of the premier NCAA D3 lacrosse programs on the East coast. Flan has set her sights on majoring in athletic training at Endicott. She plays high school lacrosse for Eastside Catholic, where she helped the team to a State Championship in 2017. In addition to being an integral member of the Starz’ HS Elite team, Megan made the Under Amour West team in 2017 and was honored as an All-Star at NXT’s 2018 Philly Showcase.

“Flan has been one of the cornerstones in our defensive unit and I hope she continues in this role,” stated Lyndsey Gillis.  “Her ability to read space in addition to her strength, size and speed has been very important to our team’s success. All club teams that play at our level have the capability to score; it is a team’s defense that sets them apart. With Flan in the mix, we have found an incredible amount of success. In addition to her prowess on the field; Flan’s quirky personality, care for her teammates and passion for the game will be assets to Coach Mo in the fall of 2020.”

“I am so grateful for all of the opportunities that Starz has given me to grow as a player and a person.  I appreciate the built-in family that comes along with playing in this program and some of my closest friends have been my teammates at Starz for the past 5 years,” reflected Flan.  “Huge thank you to my coaches Lyndsey Gillis, Stevie McNesby, and Ruth Bonner for believing in me and pushing me to always improve.  I’m excited to experience lacrosse at the collegiate level and to play for Coach Spellman; her energy, passion and love for the game were big factors in my decision. Thank you, Starz, for helping prepare me for my time as a Gull!”
