TREVOR MELDROM COMMITS TO COLORADO MESA UNIVERSITY

Congratulations to Starz ’21 midfielder, Trevor Meldrom, on his recent commitment to NCAA D2 Colorado Mesa University. The Glacier Peak junior will join four other Starz alumni who are or will be part of the Mavericks’ men’s lacrosse program.

“Joining Seattle Starz in 7th grade was a great decision for me to not only further my development as a player, but to also help me grow up and start to be a strong person by teaching me responsibility, trust, and grit,” said Meldrom.  “Starz was great for me because of the amount of coaching that was available and because of how many new relationships I made through my years. I want to thank everyone who has been a part of my journey. Go Mavs!”

“Congratulations to Trevor on his commitment to CMU! Trevor is a tough and athletic midfielder whose dynamic dodging ability and well-rounded game made our team better whenever he was on the field,” stated Coach Pruitt.  “I owe Trevor my deepest thanks, as I put him in a difficult position by asking him to take more than his fair share of face-offs when our team was without a face-off guy. Despite this coming at the expense of some of his time on offense, he put his head down and went to work for his teammates. Finding that kind of selflessness and commitment to the collective good in a young person is rare, and I know that Coach Smith has secured another great person and player to bolster his 2021 class. Congrats again to Trevor and GO MAVS!”
