FAQ's

Will Starz Lacrosse interfere with my school/community spring season?
No. Starz does not hold practices or games during the regular spring season. Our teams begin practices after the high school state championship, typically following Memorial Day weekend.

When can I tryout for a team?
Tryouts are held twice a year for both the boys and girls programs prior to the beginning of our fall and summer seasons. Dates and specific details will be announced via our website and social media platforms.

I play a fall/winter sport, can I still participate in the fall/winter Starz season?
Yes! Starz is extremely supportive of multi-sports athletes as we believe playing more than one sport makes for a better lacrosse player and all-around athlete. We expect players to communicate any schedule conflicts with their head coach in writing prior to the day of the conflict.

What do the fall and summer seasons look like?
Our fall season runs October - January with teams traveling to 3-4 tournaments and practicing once to twice a week. The summer season is during June and July and teams travel to 3-4 tournaments with 2-3 practices a week.

How do I purchase Starz gear?
After tryouts and before the first practice of a season players who are selected to our teams will be sent a link to an online store. Players and their families can purchase Seattle Starz gear during those times.

What are the fees/ What is included in the fees?
For the summer of 2021 we have temporarily cancelled Seattle Starz hosted travel for our High School teams.  Season fees for all teams do NOT include travel related expenses.

What is the refund policy?
Seattle Starz has a strict no-refund policy.  All season fees must be paid in-full.

We now offer Registration Saver Insurance through AIG to protect your season fee in the event your player suffers a season ending illness or injury (on or off the field).  Information regarding insurance will be distributed after rosters are finalized.

Does Starz help with the recruiting process?
Yes. Many of our Starz staff members have played and/or coached at various NCAA institutions and use those experiences and connections to assist Starz athletes. We believe an athlete is the driver in his or her recruitment and our staff is here to help navigate that process. This includes but is not limited to: receiving material describing how to contact college coaches and create a resume, one on one meetings with a staff member and playing in very competitive tournaments that are highly attended by college coaches.
