TJ BANKS

HEADED TO MCLA D1 GRAND CANYON UNIVERSITY

Congratulations to TJ Banks on his recent decision to play for MCLA D1 powerhouse Grand Canyon University. In the past three seasons, the Lopes have won both the MCLA D1 National Championship and the Southwestern Lacrosse Conference title twice. The program has had 30 players receive MCLA All-American honors in the five years since it’s inception.

“I am excited to be able to continue playing lacrosse while earning a degree in business management and entrepreneurship at Grand Canyon University,” says Banks. ” I would like to thank the entire Seattle Starz organization for everything they’ve done to support me on my journey to this achievement. Specifically, I’d like to thank Coach Lewis Ratcliff and Coach Rich Schwartz for always encouraging me to be better and being readily accessible mentors. I also want to thank my teammates for creating unforgettable memories.”

“TJ embodies everything that I value in a player; a solid work ethic, persistence, boundless energy, integrity and a positive, team oriented perspective ” remarks Coach Schwartz. “His drive and desire combined with his pure athletic ability provides the foundation for TJ to be a huge impact player at GCU. This past weekend, I told Coach Rapkin he is getting a fantastic athlete in TJ and, more importantly, a wonderful person.”
