CALDER GRIFFIN COMMITS TO WOOSTER

Congratulations to Starz ’20 defender, Calder Griffin on his recent commitment to the NCAA D3 men’s lacrosse program at The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio. In the 2019 season, the Scots made it to the conference semi-final game and earned their fourth NCAC post season run in seven years.

“I am very excited to continue playing lacrosse at the collegiate level for The College of Wooster,” states Griffin.  “I would like to thank my family, teammates, and peers for their support. I would like to recognize my parents for the sacrifices they have made to give me this opportunity. Without them, I would not be in the position to take this offer. Next, I would like to extend a huge thank you to the Starz program for giving me the tools to become a better player and the drive to be a strong competitor. Thank you to my high school, Seattle Prep, for teaching me the value of sportsmanship. Thank you to my coaches: Rich Stearns, Sam Bennett, Nick Riley, Dylan Hummel, and Rich Schwartz. Go Woo!”

“A big congratulations to Calder on his recent commitment to Wooster,” says Jack Pruitt.  “Calder always brought an incredible attitude and attentiveness to the lacrosse field and thus it is no surprise to me he has found an excellent college home for his talent. Way to go Calder – we are excited to see your success on and off the field for the Scots!”
