CONNER McMULLEN COMMITS TO HAMPDEN-SYNDEY COLLEGE

Congratulations to Starz ’21 goalie, Conner McMullen, on his recent commitment to NCAA D3 Hampden-Sydney College. The Emerald Ridge captain led the state in save percentage and has been a 3 year starter for the program. McMullen was also named a MadLax MVP.

“Starz helped me become a better lacrosse player and a better teammate. With Starz I was able to travel the country, play high level lacrosse, and compete for championships,” said McMullen. “This gave me an opportunity to be seen by different college programs across the country. I have made lifelong friends and had great experiences on and off the field. I would like to thank Coach Pruitt and the Starz program for what they have done for me.”

“Congratulations to Conner on his commitment to Hampden-Sydney! Conner has the ideal mindset for a goalie – he is level headed and always wears a smile, regardless of circumstances. This outlook, combined with his immovable focus on the ball, ensures that he makes all of the saves he should and many of the ones he shouldn’t have to, regardless of situation, score, or opponent,” stated Pruitt. “As a teammate, he provided as many laughs and reasons to smile as he did saves, making him a critical thread in the fabric of our 2021 team’s personality. Conner was a pleasure to coach and we all look forward to watching from a distance as he brings his winning mindset and focus to the Tiger program under Coach Rostan. Congratulations again to Conner and GO TIGERS!”
