HENRY BRUININKS COMMITS TO ADMISSIONS PROCESS AT BATES

Congratulations to Starz ’21 attacker, Henry Bruininks, who recently committed to the admissions process at NCAA D3 Bates College. The two time private school state champion at O’Dea was named an All-Star at both the Denver Shootout and MadLax Showcase. Bruininks has been a first honors student every semester of high school, and has served as the Treasurer for O’Dea’s National Honor Society.

“Playing for Seattle Starz has been a great experience for me,” stated Henry.  “I’ve been able to play against and with great players and develop my game to be better than ever. I was always pushed by my coaches to improve, both as a player and person. I have made some of my best friends through Starz and I will always be thankful for that. All in all, playing for Seattle Starz has helped me elevate my game and the resources and exposure provided to me assisted me greatly in getting to where I am today. Roll Cats!”

“Congrats to Henry on committing to the admissions process at Bates! Henry’s quiet confidence, unspeakable toughness, and elite intelligence made him the dark horse of our offense whenever he was on the field,” said Pruitt. “Henry is an amazing player and even better teammate who I am blessed to coach. Additionally, a big congratulations and my deepest thanks go out to Henry’s mom, Alli, who has been a team coordinator with Starz 2021 for seasons on end. Henry’s positive experience, my own, and those of so many other 2021 players and coaches resulted directly from her hard work on the team’s behalf. Pending Henry’s acceptance to Bates, Coach Lasagna will have added a world-class student, leader, and young person to his Bobcat lacrosse roster. Everyone at Seattle Starz is excited to see what the future holds for Henry at Bates and beyond – GO BOBCATS!”
